Choices.........

Tuesday, July 26, 2005

There was an old country preacher who had a teenage son, and it was getting time the boy should give some thought along the line of choosing a profession. Like many young men, then and now, the boy didn't really know what he wanted to do- and he didn't seem overly concerned about it.

One day, while the boy was away at school, his father decided to try an experiment. What he did was, he went into the boy's room and placed on his study table these three objects: a Bible, a silver dollar, and a bottle of whiskey...

"Now then," the old preacher said to himself, "I'll just hide behind the door here, and when my son comes home from school this afternoon, I'll see which of these three objects he picks up. If he picks up the Bible, he's going to be a preacher like me, and what a blessing that would be! If he picks up the dollar, he's going to be a businessman, and that would be o.k. too. But if he picks up the bottle, he's going to be a drunkard - a no-good drunkard and Lord, what a shame that would be."

The old man was anxious as he waited, and soon he heard his son's footsteps as he came in the house whistling and headed back to his room. He deposited his books on the bed, as a matter of routine, and as he turned around to leave the room he spotted the objects on the table.

With a curious set in his eye, he walked over to inspect them. What he finally did was, he picked up the Bible and placed it under his arm. He picked up the silver dollar and dropped it into his pocket. He uncorked the bottle and took a big drink...

"Lord have mercy," the old man whispered, "He's gonna be a politician!"

new earphones.............

Monday, July 18, 2005

Yup, just bought a new pair of earphones for my Mp3 player because my previous ones were badly damaged by some irresponsible/uncivilzed people/freaks and it cost me, well not me, my dad since he paid for it around RM 29.....feew,price is getting high now here, back in Taiping it only cost around RM 16.
During the holiday, my cousins from Taiping came down, no need to mention names here, you know who you are... borrowed my player.Unlike those irresponsible/uncivilzed people/freaks( freak is officially a lame word.....hehehe :P for some reason you wouldn't want to know but nobody is stopping you fom using it) , they took good care of it but didn't bother to buy the earphones as it was already badly damaged and the worst part is that they knew about the price issue here.Instead, they bought a cheaper one and used it for themselves and when i got it back they kept the earphone for themselves.I dont know what to say about these people anymore!!!!!seriously.................

what you may not know'bout Noah......

Friday, July 15, 2005

Why couldn't they play cards on the ark?
Noah was sitting on the deck
What did Noah say as he was loading the Ark?
"Now I herd everything"
Why did the people on the ark think the horses were pessimistic?
They kept saying neigh
What animal could Noah not trust?
The cheetah
What kind of lights did Noah have on the ark?
Flood lights
Who was the first canning factory run by?
Noah - he had a boat full of preserved pairs
Was Noah the first one out of the Ark?
No, he came forth out of the ark...

The 10 Commandments

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor thy father and thy mother," she asked, "is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family of seven) answered, "thou shall not kill."
